This is an original 5x7 watercolor painting representing blooming balsam root in the Columbia River Gorge done by myself, Bonnie White. This watercclor comes matted in a single 8x10 archival off-white mat, ready for a ready-made clear glass frame.
I use professional archival watercolor pigments and watercolor paper.
Small paintings are a great way to build your own original art collection. It is an addictive hobby and brightens your life to always be surrounded by art. I find that what starts as a print or a small painting can very well put people on a path of collecting original art.
I am an award-winning watercolor painter living in the Columbia River Gorge. This watercolor was inspired by the wild native Balsam Root that grows on the open hills in the mid gorge area in May. It takes these plants seven years to bloom after disturbed by grazing, etc., so when you see them, you know it is truly a natural area. You can see larger paintings at bonniewhite.net.
