Hand-painted original watercolor painting of your pet in one of two sizes: All options are listed above.
Before you purchase the painting, please send me a high resolution photo (through the contact link). I paint from a portrait that you provide. I prefer one portrait that you would like painted and a couple of others to give me a better idea of how the animals looks. I find that photos where the animal is actually looking at or near the person taking the photo work best. I prefer my paintings without backgrounds or just with supporting colors in the background. The eyes are the most important part of the painting and it works best if one eye is dominant. If you want me to make the choice among several photos, I will. If you are taking a photo especially to be painted, outdoors works best. If you want me to look at your photos and give advice before you commission a painting, contact me through this site.
Turn around is generally within two weeks, unless I have a show or a festival . When we agree on a photo and the painting is ordered I can guarantee a shipping date.
You must complete the purchase before I begin painting.
After finishing the painting I will send you a photo for your approval. If approved, I will mail the painting to you. If you do not approve, I will reimburse your money.
If you would like me to mat and frame the painting, I offer an off-white double archival mat and a black metal Nielson frame, including the glass, plus shipping in the continental United States. You make your choice at the cart.
I've painted dogs, cats, horses, birds, goats, sheep, cows, etc., whatever your pet is, I am game to paint it. I have many repeat customers who have their own pet painted and then commission a gift for a friend or relative.
