This is an original watercolor of a Barrett's Penstemon, near Catherine Creek, in the Columbia River Gorge. This painting is done by Bonnie White.

I googled this plant to get the spelling correct. Up popped what I believe could very well be this exact plant with a description saying it is only located within a ten mile area of the Columbia Gorge. This particular one is located along old Highway 8, between Bingen and Lyle. It is about eye level as you are traveling west, right above where, the late, Nancy Russell, who is known for her work to protect the Columbia River Gorge, purchased a parcel of real estate to establish a public access hiking area, which is accessed from Highway 141, just east of the tunnel. When I drove old Highway 8 and came around a corner and saw the sun shining though this penstemon, I couldn't help but paint it.

The size is approx. 13"x17". The painting is being sold without a mat and is rolled up for mailing.
